About the event
The Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee (ACLSC) kicked off the Academic Year 2025-26 with the Primer on 30th June, 2025, which was a crafted guide for first-year law students to empower and build their interest in criminal law, enhancing their trial procedural understanding and advocacy skills. Orchestrated by Tarun Gowda D and Kirti Krishna, the Convenors of ACLSC, this event drew in first-year law students as members to inculcate inclusivity and future possibilities of leadership in the field of criminal law. The senior members of the committee coordinated and conducted a practical simulation of an entire trial procedure through oral rounds within the presence of two esteemed judges, which consisted of real-time witness examinations, including Chief and Cross-Examinations. These rounds reflected essential court etiquette and the demands of real-world legal practice.
